Small but mighty, the “Spider” puts in a lot of work! It is responsible for maintaining a steady connection between your Resinator’s motor and Drum. Whether you have a Resinator OG or Resinator XL model, the spider should be inspected periodically for wear and replaced when needed. Doing so will prevent wear on other components such as the jaw couplers it sits within, the drum, and even the motor itself.
Spiders are made of oil-resistant, highly resilient long-life material and are ideal for use in variable-speed and variable-torque applications. The spider has a temperature range of -40° to 212°F (-40° to 100°C), 0.015″ maximum parallel misalignment, and 1° maximum angular misalignment. No lubrication or maintenance is required.
